Irdenware, heller, cremefarbener Scherben, farblos glasiert. Gerundete, leicht konvex gewölbte Tellerform mit Aufhänge-Öse auf der Rückseite. Stilisierter Stierkopfdekor im Relief und mit schwarzer, kupferoxidhaltiger Bemalung, spiegelbildlich dat. "XXII II (19)56". Eins von 450 Expl.; Entw. Pablo Picasso, 1956. Wvz. Alain Ramie 317. Pressmarken "EMPREINTE ORIGINALE DE PICASSO" und "MADOURA PLEIN FEU" mit Flammenzeichen. Ca. 25 cm x 25,5 cm.
A French glazed and painted earthenware wall plaque "Profil de taureau" depicting a bull's head profile. Conceived by Picasso on 22th of February 1956 and executed in an edition of 450. Signed with the impressed marks "EMPREINTE ORIGINALE DE PICASSO" and "MADOURA PLEIN FEU" (with flame sign), dated inversely "XXII II (19)56".
