Seltene, von der Schule von Barbizon beeinflusste, impressiv aufgefasste Landschaft des Künstlers, dessen Oeuvre vornehmlich Genreszenen umfasst. Brillouin studierte seit 1840 an der École des Beaux-Arts in Paris und debütierte 1843 auf dem Salon, wo er danach des Öfteren ausstellte. Öl/Holztafel.
